JEAN ROSANVALLON

 

Mr. Jean Rosanvallon was named President of Dassault Falcon Jet, located in Teterboro, New Jersey, in 1996 and CEO in 2003. Prior to this, he had served as Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing with responsibility for consolidating worldwide Falcon sales and marketing activities.

Mr. Rosanvallon is a graduate of the prestigious Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC), an elite French business school. He joined Dassault Aviation on October 13, 1075 – his 24th birthday -following his one year service in the French Army where he went to sniper school. He was initially assigned to coordinate Falcon activities between the company’s Paris headquarters and the Falcon subsidiary in Teterboro. At that time, the unit was a joint venture between Pan American World Airways and Dassault Aviation, known as Falcon Jet Corporation.

In 1979, Rosanvallon moved to the United States as Assistant to the President of Falcon Jet. He was later promoted to Vice President of Finance. In 1984, Rosanvallon returned to Paris as Executive Vice President of Sogitec, a Dassault Aviation subsidiary that specializes in flight simulation. However, he retained close ties to the Falcon Jet business and rejoined in 1989 as Vice President of Sales and Marketing based in Paris.

Mr. Rosanvallon is a recipient of the French Legion d’Honneur and Ordre National du Merite. He is on the Board of Directors of the Corporate Angel Network, French-American Chamber of Commerce and the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (where he served as a past Chairman). He is also on the Advisory Council of the National Business Aviation Association and the Board of Trustees of the Wings Club of New York and Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. Mr. Rosanvallon received the “Lifetime Aviation Industry Award” at the 16th Annual Living Legends of Aviation held last January in Los Angeles.

Mr. Rosanvallon became a United States citizen in 2017 and resides in Manhattan with Genevieve, his wife of 45 years. They have three children living in New York and Los Angeles.
