C. GREGORY EVANS

C. Gregory Evans (born 1961), known to all as “Greg,” is an entrepreneur, philanthropist, and lifelong advocate for the global business aviation industry. He currently serves as Managing Principal of Evans Family Office, the private holding platform for his family’s aviation and aviation-adjacent businesses, providing long-term stewardship, disciplined governance, and strategic growth leadership.
Evans was born in the Dallas, Texas area into an aviation family. His father, Tom Evans, founded Universal Weather and Aviation in 1959 to support the emerging needs of the business aviation community. Greg joined the company in 1978 and spent more than four decades helping shape its evolution into one of the industry’s most recognized global service platforms. Throughout his career, he has been a steadfast advocate for operators, known for championing safety, access, and operational flexibility worldwide.
Today, through Evans Family Office, Greg provides strategic oversight and leadership to two primary operating companies: Universal Aviation, a worldwide network of fixed base operators (FBOs), general aviation terminals (GATs), ground handlers, and VIP supervisory agents, and Air Culinaire Worldwide, a premier global provider of high-end in-flight catering and culinary solutions for business aviation. Together, these businesses employ more than 1,000 professionals at 75+ locations across 20+ countries, serving business aircraft operators around the world.
In addition to his business leadership, Evans has played a significant role in industry advocacy. Through extended service with the National Business Aviation Association, he was instrumental in efforts that preserved the integrity and accessibility of the air traffic control system for business aviation. In recognition of his contributions, he received NBAA’s prestigious Silk Scarf Award.
Evans is equally known for his philanthropic leadership. Over many years, he has generously dedicated time, resources, and aircraft to humanitarian and veteran-support missions. In 2010, Universal and Evans were honored with **Gulfstream Aerospace’s Outstanding Flight Award for assisting in the transport of severely wounded veterans to critical medical appointments and events held in their honor.
A proud graduate of the University of St. Thomas, where he earned a double major in business administration and consumer behavior marketing, Evans remains deeply committed to education, mentorship, and the long-term vitality of the aviation industry.
Today, Greg’s focus is on stewarding a family-owned aviation platform built for endurance, balancing heritage with innovation, high-touch service with operational excellence, and near-term performance with multi-generational value creation. He is supported by his wife, Claudia, and together with their daughters, Sarah and Catherine, remains committed to advancing aviation as a force for global connection, service, and opportunity.
