CELEBRATE THIS HISTORIC LANDMARK EVENT
THE 15TH ANNUAL
“LIVING LEGENDS OF AVIATION AWARDS.”
John Travolta, the “Official Ambassador of Aviation,” will host the 15th annual “Living Legends of Aviation Awards” January 19, 2018 at the Beverly Hilton.
Mr. David Joyce, Vice Chair of GE and CEO of GE Aviation, will be honored with the “Lifetime Aviation Industry Award.” Mr. Robert Bigelow, founder of Bigelow Aerospace, will be presented with the “Lifetime Aviation Entrepreneur Award.”
The “Living Legends of Aviation Awards” will honor General Jack Dailey with the Steven F. Udvar Hazy Award. Retiring from the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum as director after 17 years, General Dailey’s talents have had broad influence on visitors from far and near our nation’s capital.
The “Vertical Flight Hall of Fame Award” and the “Harrison Ford Aviation Legacy Award” will be announced shortly. H. Ross Perot Jr. will be inducted into the “Living Legends of Aviation,” with further announcements being made in the next few weeks.
The 15th Annual “Legends Awards” are dedicated to astronaut Gene Cernan, who took his last Flight West just days before the 14th Annual Legends Awards. His tribute will include comments by Elon Musk, who considered Gene Cernan his childhood hero and inspiration to dream big and reach for the stars in aerospace. It will be an unforgettable and historic evening celebrating life, aviation, and contributions in aviation and aerospace.
